Why hard or soft heated pet pads versus heater?

Blythe Wood Works offers heated pet pads because pets already have a fur coat on...they can get off the heated pet pad if they get too warm. Pets need to be able to get away from the heat if necessary as each animal is different. It may be raining or snowing outside!! Our heated pet pads cover only half the floor size of each home. Heat kills millions of pets each year. They don't have sweat glands as humans; they have to pant and that takes even more of a toll to their heart and lungs, thus more deaths.
